This page explains what Postmic collects, why, and who it is shared with.
Who is responsible
Postmic is a product of Wicklight Ventures LLC. Wicklight is responsible for the information described on this page.
What we collect
- X account details. When you sign in with X we receive your X user ID, username, and profile photo, plus access tokens that let Postmic post for you. Tokens are stored encrypted.
- Voice notes. The audio you record. You can record and upload before you sign in. Those recordings are tied to the
postmic_ownercookie until you log in with X. - Transcripts. The text made from your audio, with word timings, and any edits you make.
- Backgrounds. Which background you pick, and any image you upload as a background.
- Profile photo. The photo you upload on Account. If you have not saved one, we copy your X profile photo after you sign in.
- Posts. Whether a note is Private or Public, any time you schedule it for, and the ID of the post once it is on X.
- Plan and billing. Your plan, renewal status, and the Stripe customer and subscription IDs. Stripe handles your card details; we do not see or store your full card number.
- Basic technical data. Server logs such as request times and errors, used to keep the service working.
How we use it
We use this information to record, transcribe, and render your notes, to post them to X when you ask (now or at the time you schedule), to show your library and profile, to run your plan, and to fix problems. We do not sell your information and we do not use your voice notes for advertising.
Private and public notes
Private notes stay in your Postmic library and are not posted. Public notes are posted to X only when you tap Post to X or when a post you scheduled comes due. Once a note is on X, it is public under X’s terms. Deleting a public note in Postmic also removes that post on X.
Cookies
- postmic_owner. Identifies your Postmic library in this browser, including recordings you upload before you log in. It lasts about one year.
- postmic_pkce. Used only during X sign-in, for 10 minutes.
- Cloudflare Web Analytics counts visits and does not use ad cookies.
Services we use
- X for sign-in, your profile, and publishing posts.
- Cloudflare to store your audio, videos, backgrounds, and profile photo, and to deliver the site. Cloudflare Web Analytics counts visits and does not use ad cookies.
- OpenAI turns audio into a transcript and does not train on it under the API terms.
- Stripe to take payments and manage paid plans.
Keeping and deleting your information
We keep your notes, transcripts, uploads, and profile while your account is active. You can delete notes from your library. Deleting a public note in Postmic also removes that post on X. To delete your account and its stored content, contact us at [email protected] and we will remove it, except records we must keep by law, such as billing records.
Security
We use encrypted connections, store X tokens encrypted, and limit who can access stored files. No system is perfectly secure, so please keep your X account protected too.
Children
Postmic is not for children under 13, and you must meet X’s age requirements to use it.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
